My Honest Review of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)

I saw The Mandalorian and Grogu in a Dolby Atmos theater on opening day, and I kinda liked it. I’m giving it a strong 6 out of 10.

It’s not a bad movie, but it also never fully felt like the big cinematic event I was hoping for. Grogu basically carries the whole thing.

Without him it would’ve been junk. The movie has some real heart and a satisfying payoff, but it’s held back by slow pacing early on, some weak supporting performances, and a score that felt too modern for a Star Wars film of this size.

Here’s my full breakdown. The Big-Screen Experience I watched it in Dolby Atmos and the sound design definitely added something.

The full sound and rumble bass makes the epic stuff so much better. Every time the Force was used, the whole theater vibrated in a cool way.
