I almost couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Yeah, she told me that they sorted the kids into two lines, by skin color.

And being black - a rarity there - gave me a vantage point from which I could observe well-intentioned white peoples' attitudes about race up-close. So it was concerning, but conceivable, that this oppressor-oppressed exercise might be happening at a local elementary school.
